Today I recieved two packages in the mail. I do order quite a lot of shit from the internet and now have a personal relationship with my local courier (wish it was korea...), books from amazon, from my iphone (damn those semi usefull apps), which I purchased while half asleep after drinking my self to sleep. 2 books from Michael Pollan, Food Rules & In Defence of Food. Both goods books if you go from the reviews, but theses sorts of books I wish list as a reminder to look into their contents and research the infromation them selves.
Now I am stuck with them and will read them at some point in time, maybe tomorrow. I don't know.
But never buy things when drunk its wrong, imbarasing, weird (sex dolls...) and pointless.
You don't need anything,,,

New Books
Got my books from the CPA today, still trying to find space for my old books... everything is just lying on the ground atm. Should be a good semester, I have decided to do 2 subjects so I can finish early. But will probably end up failing.
Clients
Seth Godin of The Dip fame wrote something funny about one of his clients: [edit: This is not one of Seths clients. I, however have gotten a lot of this over the past few weeks]

"So a client calls me on a Friday - 4PM.
CLIENT: I'm about to talk to the pharma client, I need a computer graphics budget for an interactive CD-ROM.
ME: Great, email me the project details, how many screens, client deadlines, etc.
CLIENT: Well, can't you just give me a ballpark figure?
ME: A ballpark figure? But, I don't know any of specs, nor any of the client info. Please send me what you have, I'll look over it this weekend and I'll have something for you first thing Monday morning.
CLIENT: Well, we need to send them something today, by 4:30PM. Can't you just estimate it?
ME: Okay, $100,000.
CLIENT: $100,000! Why is it that much?"

Kingdom Come
Finished reading J G Ballards latest book, Kingdom Come. It continues the theme of looking at middle England. The book is well paced and assumes the reader is capable of filling in the gaps. Over all the book was pretty good, you wanted to know how far it could really be pushed, and pushed it got. The premise for this book is a mans farther is killed in a shopping centre. He doesn't know his farther very well so he goes to this place to see if he can find out something about him. But instead he ends up looking for the killer as the police are incompetent or in on it... so why kill an old man?
The store centres around the shopping centre and its very patriotic citizens. In a way its a futuristic book in today's setting. Its also probably a good indication of what might happen in the future, which is quite scary.
Consumerism is bad.
